The Danube River has its origins in Germany's Black Forest, the Danube River traverses the Bavarian plateau and winds through Eastern Europe.

Each bend reveals another spectacular panorama before the river empties into the Black Sea. Crumbling ruins top craggy hillsides, majestic castles stand sentinel over flowing waters and medieval villages cluster around baroque and Romanesque churches. All are testaments to the Danube's rich and glorious history.
